Thorpe Park have confirmed today that Hyperia, the new Mack Hyper Coaster which will be the tallest and faster roller coaster in the UK will open on Friday 24th May 2024.
The park will be celebrating their 45th ‘Birthday’ this year, and what a birthday present it is. 236ft tall, 80+mph and over 3264 feet of track.

Hyperia Annual Pass
Along with the announcement of the Hyperia opening date, Thorpe and Merlin have announced a Hyperia branded Merlin Annual Pass and a ‘Golden Ticket’.
The Hyperia branded Annual Pass is just that: a branded annual pass. It confers no extra access or features over the normal annual pass. Existing members can get a Hyperia branded card ‘soon‘ according to Merlin.
The ‘Golden Ticket‘ is a 2 day pass for Thorpe Park, where your first visit must be before the 24th May (opening day) and you then can visit another day between the 24th May and the 30th September 2024. The second visit must be prebooked. The Golden Ticket costs £49, so £24.50 per day. This could be quite a cost saving if either day you want to visit is a ‘peak’ day (which can cost £66 on the day, or £39 in advance).
